Description:

Proplast Universal Primer is a one component polymer modified resin based primer specially formulated to enhance the uniformity and colouration of the final topical coat. Proplast Universal Primer works by balancing the pH between the finishing plasters and the substrate giving a stronger and more durable bond.

Usage

Proplast Universal Primer is an ideally designed primer coat to increase the bonding on smooth concrete substrates for DCP full range of decorative platers.

Proplast Universal Primer can be used internally, externally and for vertical and overhead applications.

Materials Supplied

Proplast Universal Primer is available in 18 litre plastic buckets.

Coverage

Approximately: 5 - 8 m²/ 1 ltr.

Single coat wet film thickness is estimated at 200 microns.

Dry film thickness will be between 55 - 90 microns.

Storage

Store in a shaded place at a temperature of 25°C in original unopened packaging .

Shelf Life

Proplast Universal Primer has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture.

Application Information

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Substrate must be clean and free from oil, grease, dust and laitance. Surface laitance should be removed by light scabbling or grit blasting.

MIXING

Proplast Universal Primer does not require dilution. Mix continuously with low speed mixer/drill (400 - 600 rpm) for 3 - 5 minutes. Make sure the contents are stirred well before use.

APPLICATION

Proplast Universal Primer is applied with a textured roller to the prepared substrate making sure to obtain 100% coverage.

Decorative Plaster should be applied 24 hours after Proplast Universal Primer dries.
