Description:

Thermofix Hand Foam is a ready to use, one component moisture cure polyurethane foam adhesive. The unique composition of Thermofix Hand Foam makes it ideally suitable to provide fast and high bonding strength to several type of construction substrates.

Usage

For permanent fixing of insulation boards such as EPS, XPS, styrofoam and stone wool on facades and foundation.

Installation of roof tiles

Filling the joints between insulation boards

Isolation material for windows and doors frames

Storage

Thermofix Hand Foam should be stored in vertical position in cool and dry conditions out of the direct sunlight at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C in its original cans.

Remarks

Do not leave the cured material exposed to UV radiation
Thermofix Hand Foam cannot be used on Teflon, polyethylene and silicon surfaces
Do not apply at ambient temperature below -5°C or above 30°C.

Shelf Life

12 months in unopened cans stored under good conditions.

Application Information

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
All surfaces must be clean from dust, loose particles and oil or any other contaminations that could affect the proper adhesion. Cover and protect all the adjacent surfaces before the application of Thermofix Hand Foam. It is recommended to slightly damp the surfaces with water to enhance the expansion and curing properties especially at low humidity areas (less than 50% RH).

APPLICATION

Apply the foam adhesive to insulation boards evenly in parallel to the sides of the insulation board (3 cm from the edge) and one stripe in the middle, parallel to the longest side (up to 25 cm between adhesive stripes).

After applying the foam adhesive to the insulation board wait 2 - 3 minutes and then press the board to the wall. The level of installed foam polystyrene boards can be adjusted within up to 5 minutes.
