Description:

Aquaguard PRO is an acrylic based highly flexible, high performance elastomeric, waterproof coating for application under tiles and facings.

Usage

Aquaguard PRO is suitable for application on concrete, masonry, plaster, and others mineral bases. Aquaguard PRO can used over floor heating. Aquaguard PRO is suited for internal and external application.

Waterproof coating under ceramic tiles and stone facings.

Waterproof coating over cementitious and gypsum plasters and other mineral based surfaces.

Waterproofing in kitchens, baths, balconies and terraces.

Materials Supplied

Aquaguard PRO is available in 5, 10, 18 liters packs.

Storage/ Shelf Life

Aquaguard PRO has a shelf life of 12 months if stored in proper conditions, at temperatures range between + 5°C and 35 °C.

Remarks

Aquaguard PRO should not be used at ambient temperatures below 5°C.

Aquaquard PRO should not be applied on surfaces expected to suffer from rising dampness or relative humidity greater than 75%.

Use tile adhesives Cemfix GP and Cemfix PRO with Class C2 for applying ceramic tiles.

We recommend tile adhesive Cemfix FLEX with Class C2S1 for balconies and terraces.

Application Information

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Surfaces should be clean, sound, and free from oil, grease, dirt and loose particles. The old coatings should be removed. Substrate should be dry with no standing water. Spalled surfaces, cracks and defected concrete should be repaired. New concrete substrate should be at least 14 days old.

PRIMING

Porous surfaces should primed with Grundix DP. Allow to dry before applying the first coat Aquaguard PRO .

APPLICATION

Aquaguard PRO can be applied by brush, roll, or ground coating.

It is recommended to use waterproofing scrim reinforcement, in angles between wall and floor and around siphons.

It‘s embedded firmly in the first coat of Aquaguard PRO and allowed to cure about 2 hours depending on ambient temperature.

The second coat Aquaguard PRO should be applied perpendicular to the first coat and it’s recommended to use fiberglass mesh reinforcement. Allow to cure.

Overcoating with ceramic tiles can be get after about 4 hours. It‘s recommended to allow about 12 hours for comletely dry of Aquaguard PRO.
