Description:

Cemfix PRO is a high performance, modified with special polymers tile adhesive. It is a cement based product with high moisture resistance. Use on mineral surfaces.

  • For permanent fixing of all types ceramic tiles. 
  • Indoor and outdoor use
  • Suitable for bathrooms and kitchens
  • Suitable for wet areas
  • Can be used for walls and floors 

Materials Supplied

25kg polythene-lined paper sacks 

Coverage

Approximately:  5 - 6 m2/ 25 kg bag /3 mm thickness.

Storage

Store under cover, in unopened bags clear of the ground in cool dry conditions, protected from frost and excessive draught.

Shelf Life

Cemfix PRO has shelf life 12 months if stored at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C.

Application Information

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION 
All surfaces must be clean and free from oil, grease or loose materials. Substrate should dimensionally stable. Allow time for shrinkage and structural strain movements.


PRIMING 
Cemfix PRO can be applied directly on concrete, cement plaster, screed and cement or line mortar. When working on porous or high absorbent surfaces such as gypsum-based materials, apply with primer - Grundix DP or Grundix Contact Plus.

JOINTS
Tiles should not be placed over expansion or contraction joints. Stop tiles on joint edges and fill joints with flexible sealant.

MIXING
To ensure proper mixing, a mechanically powered mixer or drill  fitted with suitable paddle should be used. Add the 6.5 litre water to a clean container.   
The powder component is then added slowly to the water while mixing continuously with low speed mixer/drill (400 - 600 rpm). Mixing time should be continued for 3 minutes until a uniform consistency is obtained.

APPLICATION 
Spread to a uniform thickness of 2 - 3 mm.
Comb horizontally.
Place tiles firmly over the applied area.
Do not apply large areas of adhesive that cannot be covered within the open wet time of the adhesive.
